Kinote (“the App”) is a privacy-first personal information manager designed to help you securely store sensitive information about people you trust. Your privacy is a core principle of Kinote. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled.

1. Data We Collect


Kinote does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data.


All information you add to the app — including names, notes, identification numbers, contact details, and other sensitive fields — is created and managed entirely by you.


We do not collect:

  • Personal identifiers

  • Usage analytics

  • Tracking data

  • Advertising identifiers

  • Location data

2. Where Your Data Is Stored


By default, all data is stored locally on your device.


If you choose to enable iCloud synchronization, your data may be stored and synced using Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) infrastructure. Apple manages the security and encryption of iCloud data according to its own privacy policies.


Kinote does not operate its own servers.

3. Data Security


Kinote is built with security-focused design principles:

  • App access is protected using Face ID, Touch ID, and/or a user-defined PIN.

  • Sensitive fields are masked by default and can be revealed only temporarily.

  • Copied sensitive data is automatically cleared from the clipboard after a short period.

  • App content is hidden when the app goes into the background.

  • PINs are stored securely using the iOS Keychain.


Despite these measures, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device.

4. Third-Party Services


Kinote does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.


The only external service that may be used is Apple iCloud, if you enable synchronization. This is optional and fully controlled by you.

5. Data Sharing


Kinote does not share your data with anyone.


We do not sell, rent, or disclose your information to third parties.

6. Data Retention & Deletion


Your data remains on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account) until you delete it.


Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. iCloud-synced data can be managed or removed via your Apple ID settings.

7. Children’s Privacy


Kinote is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Your Responsibility


Kinote provides tools to help protect your information, but you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your device secure

  • Remembering your PIN

  • Managing access to your device and Apple ID

9. Changes to This Policy


This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the app or on the app’s listing page.
