Welcome to TerraMemoir!

TerraMemoir is a personal travel tracking application that helps you record countries and places you have visited, rate your experiences, explore interactive world maps, and create shareable travel summaries.

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how TerraMemoir handles your information and how third-party services used by the application may process certain data.

By using TerraMemoir, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Information You Provide

TerraMemoir allows you to record personal travel information, including:

• Countries and places you have visited

• Years of your visits

• Destination ratings

• Personal travel notes

• Travel history and preferences

Your personal travel records are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData technology.

TerraMemoir does not require account registration or a user profile.

We do not operate a server that receives or stores your personal travel history.

3. Advertising and Third-Party Services

TerraMemoir uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

Google Mobile Ads SDK and its advertising partners may process certain information, including:

• Device identifiers, where available

• IP addresses and approximate location derived from network information

• Advertising interactions and ad performance information

• App interactions relevant to advertising

• Diagnostic and performance information

This information may be used for advertising delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and service improvement.

Depending on your region, applicable laws, and privacy choices, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized.

TerraMemoir uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage applicable advertising privacy consent requirements.

4. Location Information

TerraMemoir does not automatically track your travels or request access to your device's GPS location for its core functionality.

You manually select the countries and places you have visited.

Advertising services may process your IP address to estimate an approximate geographical location, as described above.

5. Photos and Sharing

TerraMemoir allows you to generate travel summary images and save them to your device or share them through compatible applications.

• Images are generated from your recorded travel information.

• Saving images to Photos may require permission from iOS.

• Sharing is initiated by you through the iOS share interface.

• TerraMemoir does not automatically upload your travel summary images to our servers.

Information shared with third-party applications is subject to those applications' privacy policies.

6. Data Backup and Restoration

TerraMemoir provides optional JSON backup and restoration features.

Backup files may contain your travel history, destination ratings, visit years, and personal notes.

Backups are generated locally and are only exported when you choose to share or save them.

If you store a backup using iCloud Drive or another third-party service, that service's privacy policies and security practices will apply.

Please keep your backup files in a secure location.

7. Data Storage and Deletion

Your travel records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, or remove the application and its local data.

You can manage individual destination records within TerraMemoir.

Uninstalling the application normally removes its locally stored application data, subject to your device's backup and restoration settings.

Previously exported JSON files or shared travel images are not automatically deleted when you uninstall the application.

Because we do not maintain an account-based database of your personal travel records, we cannot remotely access or delete those locally stored records.

Third-party advertising services may retain certain information according to their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

8. Privacy Choices

Where required, TerraMemoir provides advertising privacy choices through Google's User Messaging Platform.

You may be able to review or update your advertising preferences through the Privacy Options section in the application's Settings.

Availability depends on applicable regional requirements.

You may also manage relevant privacy permissions through your device's iOS Settings.

9. Data Security

We take privacy and data protection seriously.

Personal travel records are stored locally using Apple's application data storage technologies.

However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We recommend keeping your device protected and storing exported backups securely.

10. Children's Privacy

TerraMemoir is a general-purpose travel tracking application and is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly request personal information from children through account registration.

Third-party advertising services are subject to their own data processing practices and applicable child privacy requirements.

Parents or guardians with privacy concerns may contact us.
